Protein Function Mammalian oligosaccharyltransferase complex subunit OSTC/DC2 protein has recently been shown to be a new subunit of the oligosaccharyltransferase.
Biochemical Properties OSTC/DC2 is weakly homologous to the C-terminal halves of the yeast oligosaccharyltransferase components Ost3p and Ost6p, which suggests that OSTC/DC2 is a mammalian counterpart of the oligosaccharyltransferase complex subunit involved with glycosylation during protein synthesis.
