Protein Function | The 67-kDa L subunit of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF3L) is one of the subunits of the mammalian translation initiation factor eIF3. The eIF3 factor plays a central role in translation initiation by recruiting the 40S ribosomal subunit and keeping it dissociated from the 60S subunit and by promoting the association of the former with mRNA and initiator Met-tRNA. |
